Run more than one location

Add your locations, give each person and kiosk one, and keep managers to theirs. 1 minute.

Locations are for one business that works from more than one place, such as a restaurant and its food truck under the same NIS number. Payroll, your NIS forms and your books stay together as one business. Each location gets its own kiosk, and you can keep a manager to the location they look after.

Add your locations

  1. Open Settings, then Locations.
  2. Under Add a location, type its Name, such as "Food Truck", and press Add location.
  3. Add each place you work from.

Each location shows how many people, kiosks and limited members it has. Rename changes its name everywhere, and Archive stops it being offered for new people and kiosks.

Put each person at a location

On each person's page under Employees, choose their Location and press Save employee. When you add someone new, Add employee asks for it too.

Give each location its kiosk

  1. Open Payroll Time, then Kiosks.
  2. On a kiosk's card, choose its Location and press Save location.

A kiosk with a location lists and accepts only that location's staff. When you add a kiosk, choose its location there. See Set up a kiosk for clocking in.

Keep a manager to their location

An Accountant or a Project/Time Manager can look after just their location.

  1. Open Settings, then Users & roles.
  2. Find them under Members. Under Locations they look after, tick their location.
  3. Press Save locations.

They then see only that location's staff, kiosks, shifts, leave, pay runs and payslips. They don't see your books, your sales or your settings. To give them every location again, untick them all and press Save locations.

When you make an invite link for an Accountant or Project/Time Manager, you can tick their locations there too.

Good to know

  • Owners always see every location.
  • A pay run that pays people at more than one location is only shown to people who look after all of them. Someone kept to one location runs pay for their own staff.
  • Your NIS forms, filings and books cover the whole business.
